Welcome! I’m a freelance funeral director, end-of-life guide, writer, speaker and facilitator with a passion for changing the way we approach death. I’ve hosted death cafes for many years, trained as a holistic funeral director and celebrant, studied nature-based ritual and ceremony, and supported people at end of life as a soul midwife (similar to a death doula). My experience has shown me that we need a more honest, open and intimate relationship with death to help us make more of life and feel better supported when we experience loss. As an environmental campaigner and co-founder of a community climate hub, I believe a healthy approach to death holds the Earth at its heart – in grief, we can draw on the healing power of nature, and, in death, care for the planet with a greener funeral where possible. I call my approach Rewilding Death, and you can read more about it here.
I offer funerals and celebrations of life, holistic and spiritual end-of-life support, death awareness workshops and talks, and ceremonies to mark all life’s changes and challenges.
A professional writer for more than 20 years, I’ve contributed to leading national magazines and newspapers as a journalist, provided copywriting services to a range of clients, and had short stories published in literary journals. I bring my writing experience to all my ceremonies and workshops, and love creating content that helps to shift attitudes towards death, dying and funerals.
